14 October 2021, CUFE Business School held the 6thSession of the 2021 CUFE Business School Distinct Academic Forum. Dr. Gong Yu, Assistant Professor from the School of Business, University of Southampton, was invited to give the speech. Faculty members, postgraduate and undergraduate students from CUFE Business School were attended. Professor Liu Xiaohong from Department of Supply Chain and Operations Management hosted the forum.
Dr. GongYu received his PhD degree from University of Exeter. His main research fields includes sustainable supply chain, supply chain innovation, and supply chain learning. Dr. Gong’s research papers were published on top journals such as International Journal of Operations & Production Management, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, etc.
The topic ofDr. Gong’s speech was“Supply Chain Learning of Sustainability in Multi-tier Supply Chains: A Resource Orchestration Theory Perspective”. Based on the perspective of resource arrangement, this study expounds the sustainable supply chain learning of multi-level supply chain and verified the multi-case study method.
In the communication session, Dr. Gong answered questions and discussed issues with faculty and students. The interaction had greatly promoted academic exchange.
