Nov. 30, 2015, Mr. Gao Ying, CEO of China Europe Business, China Sun Consult Visited CUFE Business School and held a lecture on the topic of “the comparison of China-Germany enterprise management and case analysisunder cultural difference”. CPC general branch secretary GeJianxin, deputy secretary Lin Song, faculty members, PhD candidates, masters, and undergraduate studentsfrom CUFE Business Schoolattended the lecture. The lecture was hosted by CUFE Business school CPC general branch deputy secretary Lin Song.
In the lecture, based on manufacturing industry, Mr.Gao associating his 26 years of working experience and combining vivid stories and tangible cases with management theory, explained the differences between China-Germany enterprise management practice, the development of manufacturing industry in China, the practice and development of bilateral trade, and the influence of cultural differences on international trade. In Mr.Gao’s opinion,manufacturing industry has been developing rapidly in China and the pursuit of details also shows continuous progress, however, there is still room for progress in terms of the formulation and implementation of standards. In addition to the developing level of broad environment, the reason behind it is alsoclosely related to culture concept as well as the management level. Mr.Gao pointed out that as the prosperity of manufacturing industry is the cornerstone of economic sustainable development, he expected that enterprises couldtake the long run development strategic thinking, transit gradually from the old price leader strategy to quality leader strategy, consciously cultivateproduct self-confidence, generate brand effect consequently, and earn recognition fromdomestic and global consumers.

Professor Ge pointed out that, the rigorous and pragmatic spirit of Germans is worth learningand only armed withendogenous developed subjective initiative and high-quality products enables companies win the respect of the international community in the end.In international trade, corporations should actively explore dialogue mechanism, seek common ground while put aside differences, overcome cultural differences, and enhance cooperation efficiency. Mr.Gao had a profound experience. The brilliant cases he shared in the lectureprovided reference and inspiration for business school’s teaching and research.
Mr. Gao Ying is majored in computer science and graduated from Dalian University of Technology. He went to Germany for further education in 1990s and worked there later then. He successively worked in a German machinery manufacturing company and a German international consulting company, and was mainly responsible for business of Greater China. Today he is in charge of international marketing and investment consulting affairs for several German enterprises and Chinese enterprises and helps enterprises to avoid or reduce risks in international procurement and international marketing strategy. In addition, Mr. Gao served as Greater China Country Manager of InterGest France S.A.S.in 2002-2007, the long-term strategic partner of CUFE Business School. With more than 10 years of cooperation friendship, Mr. Gao made great contributions to CUFE Business School’s international cooperation development.
