Abstract:
Incivility, which refers to low-intensity rudeness in the workplace, has garnered a great deal of attention from organizational researchers in recent years. In this talk, I will provide an overview of workplace incivility research and present two papers that I published in this research area (Gabriel, Butts, Yuan, Rosen, & Sliter, 2018; Yuan, Park, & Sliter, 2020). Based on these two papers, I will briefly discuss some future directions for incivility research. In addition, I will share some personal experience conducting and publishing research in mainstream academic journals.
