On the morning of May 13, 2018, the 2018 MBA Open Day and 2019 MBA Admission andEarly Admission Interview Policy Press Conference of Central University ofFinance and Economics (CUFE) took place at Room 402 Academic Hall, CUFE. It isintended to inform students of CUFE MBA programs regarding their distinctionand niche. The release of 2019 MBA admission and early admission interviewpolicies will help clarify a variety of issues during enrollment, gear student sup for MBA programs, and give them a genuine experience of MBA class and a tourof the beautiful CUFE campus. Professor Jia Xiaojing, Deputy Director of theMBA Education Center, Liu Shubo, head of the GTMBA, Zhou Yan, AdmissionDirector, Huang Jixin, a teacher from the Department of Program Development,and Wang Yuchao, Chairman of the MBA Federation, attended the activity,whetting the interest of a packed audience up to nearly three hundred including2019 MBA candidates and campus ambassadors of Class 2017 and 2018.
Professor Jia Xiaojing extended a warm welcome to all candidatesin her address. She shared her own understanding of MBA with the audience: Ithas been over a century since the inception of MBA in Harvard Business Schoolin 1908. In the past 100 years or so, despite mixed opinions, one thing hasremained unchanged, and that is MBA’s role as one of the most important gasstations for senior management expertise. Professor Jia cited examples ofcelebrities like Warren Buffett and Donald Trump to illustrate the promisingcareer prospects ahead. But she also mentioned that it would be a painfuljourney where MBA students, in most cases, bear multiple pressure from theirstudy, family and work. Therefore, she suggested they prepare themselves forthese mental stress before choosing this major.
Liu Shubo, head of the GTMBA, gave a micro-class presentation,demonstrating the objectives and characteristics of CUFE MBA education.
Wang Yuchao, the 14th Chairman ofthe MBA Federation and a student of Class 2017 of the MBA program, shared hislearning experience at CUFE.
TanBowen, a freshman-to-be in 2018, shared her experience in the preparation ofthe examination.
ZhouYan, Admission Director of the MBA Education Center, explained 2019 admissionpolicies and early admission interview policies.
