Dr. Huang analyzed the confusions that students mightface in different periods of their university life, such as interpersonalrelationships, intimate relationship, studying, hobbies, career choices, futureplanning etc. Dr. Huang clearly demonstrated the intrinsic logics of confusionsand possible solutions by combining theories, personal experiences andconsulting cases. First of all, Dr. Huang believed that it is normal forcollege students to “feel confused” and hopefully that the students are notexcessively anxious. Then, he proposed that the key to “break through confusions”was in the hands of the students themselves. Regarding self-recognition,students should believe in self-existence and accept their own disadvantages; asfor learning, it is suggested that they should cherish their university life, cultivate the habit of positive thinking, work hard to learn professionalknowledge, improve various skills, broaden their horizons, and develop thinkingabilities; in their future developments, the students must think clear of theirgoals, not be afraid of giving and working hard; When facing pressure in life, theyshould learn to adjust, make changes and take actions initiatively, which isthe key to breakthrough. Dr. Huang suggested that the students should change theirpositions to think when dealing with interpersonal relationships. In addition, theyshould learn to love themselves, and learn to control and express their feelingsproperly.
The contents of the lecture were based on theories andpractice, and matched well with the students’ demands, and the atmosphere ofthe lecture was relaxing, humorous and impressive.
