November 4, 2015, the CUFE Business School Oversea Exchange Program Introduction and the Students Experience Sharing Event was held in classroom 110, East Zone, Shahe Campus. The event was designed for the 2015 undergraduate freshmen, and had 3 sessions: the Oversea Exchange Program Introduction, the Exchange Students Experience Sharing, and the Q&A session. The event was hosted by the CUFE Business School Youth League Secretary Wang Tingting.
First of all, the CUFE Business School Party Branch Secretary GeJianxin made a brief speech. Secretary GeJianxin positively affirmed the CUFE Business School undergraduate students’ high quality, expressed great hope and expectations for the students’ four years undergraduate study at CUFE Business School and their future career development. Secretary GeJianxin stressed the importance of English language in students’ future career development. Secretary GeJianxin hoped that students should pay more attention of the school and university’s information board, communicate actively with teachersand administrators of the school,seize the opportunities of attending the overseas exchange programs, and make rational decisions according to their familyfacts and future career development planning. The purpose of attending the various oversea programs is to explore the international perspective, cultivate international vision, and to enhance cross-cultural communication skills, in order to get well prepared for their future careers.
Subsequently, Teacher GuoXiaokunfrom the CUFE Business School International Officeintroduced theoverseas exchange programs from both the university and the school level, focusing on the university and the business school’s partnerinstitutions, various types of overseas exchange and internship programs, the participation of previous students, as well as different categories of programs application requirements, application procedures, preparation work, etc., which provided guidance and help for the freshmen.
Next, Zhang Naichi, an undergraduate student majored in Marketing who had participated in the exchange programtoUCLA, and Chang Jinshan, an MBA student who had participated in the InterGest France S.A.S. company internship program, shared their own oversea experience from the perspectives of learning and practice, respectively. In addition, a 2015 graduateZengTianzhangwho had participated in the exchange programto University of Arkansas made a special video for the 2015 freshmen about how to apply,the preparation work, the IELTS exam experience, and what he had learned during the exchanging period.
In the end, the teachers and previousparticipating students had a free communication and Q&A session with the freshmen. The event ended successfully in a warm atmosphere.
This event enabled the 2015 freshmen to better understand the CUFE Business School’s internationalization development strategy, encouraged them to participate in various types of oversea exchange programs with more enthusiasm, and promoted their comprehensive consideration of international dimension from the beginning of theirundergraduate studyalong with their future career development planning, which is conducive to improving the quality of CUFEBusiness School’stalentcultivating.
