June 23th, 2015, Business School, Central University of Finance and Economics held “Symposium for Graduates of 2015 Before Going Abroad to Further Study”. The symposium was chaired by ProfessorGeJianxin, the Party General Branch Secretary of Business School, and five students from Business School participated in the symposium as representatives.
First, Professor GeJianxin conveyed Dean Wang Ruihua’s wishes and introduced the development of Business School’s international cooperation and the state of students’international exchange in previous years. Then, the student representatives introduced the universities where they will study and the application procedure, including preliminary investigation, material preparation, documents presenting, interview, offer selecting, visa application, language training and so on. After it, the student representatives shared their experience in application----different universities and different majors have different requirement of academic record, language level and related internship, and hoped to provide some advices for other students who would want to further study abroad. They also gave some suggestions to the development of the university and Business School from such perspectives as academic study, social practice, specialization and internationalization.
Professor GeJianxin said, with the support of related functional departments and some upper-level management like China Scholarship Council (CSC), the international communication work of CUFE and Business School has developed solidly and actively. In recent years, gratifying achievements of project application have greatly promoted the internationalization of Business School and the university. In the year of 2015, there are 24 undergraduates in Business School furthering study in world-famous universities like Durham University, York University, New York University, Ohio State University, and University of Toronto, among whom two students are fully founded by CSC. In the future, with support of the university, Business School will promote vigorous development of studying abroad and student exchange program, so as to make teachers and students benefit more from it.
Staffs in Office of International Communication and Collaboration, Office of International Accreditation Affairs and Office of Student Services were present in the symposium.
